I should think one thing to consider is to see which language would be most useful to you, to your career, to your life. Are you planning to relocate to some country to work or to live there ? Depending on your plans, you can decide on the language that would be most helpful.

it really depend on what you need and what you are interested in.whether you can master a foreign language or not is totally depend on how frequently you will use it. you need to know your demand clearly first.and then choose a proper foreign language to study.

Look into where most of these IT people come from. Who they deal with. If you're interested in the career, you should already know your answers. Learn for the work ..

well according to me, none of the foreign languages would help u build a carrer in IT. but if u want to learn a foreign language out of keen interest i suggest u learn french because from what i have heard is the language most widely spoken throughout the world after english is french. so that would be a good option..

i had the same problem during my school days. i had the choice of learning either french, spanish or german. people told me that german is the toughest amongst the three. since i wanted to prove myself to be smart, i chose german. it is a tough language. however, if you have the capability and interest to learn it, there's no problem at all. however, whichever language u choose shud depend upon ur interest and needs.

hmm, I really think that it will entirely depend on your needs and interest. If you think that let say spanish is the language that will be a big advantage to the career that you wanted then you must learn that foreign language. Also, it is important for you to have an interest to the language that you wanted to learn. So that, you'll not be bored by it and you'll learn it faster. Well, you see, I'm really fascinated with Japanese culture and anime, so because of that I studied Japanese, though I'm not fluent with it, but I know at least basic nihonggo. But I'm planning to master it and learn more of their language someday, hopefully XD. Somehow,in my experience, I easily learned it and become more and more interested by it. So I think try to know more of yourself, try to ask what language you think is more important and what foreign language interest you more. Although, any language you'll decided to learn will really help you in the future. Being a linguistic or at least fluent in one foreign language is a big advantage. :D

Yes you are right . One of my old sir also used to say me same thing . If I am interested in any language then it will be better and easy to learn . Japanese is also good to learn today, but this is some thing different from others....isn't it ? One of my friend is learning ...and he said me ...grammer is similar to hindi .... thanks !!!

It really depends on what will suit you best - some people find one language easier to learn than another and this may be the case with yourself too - why not get some books on each of the languages you may be interested in and then try learning just a few phrases from each - that way you'll be able to see which feels best to you and which you personally feel sounds easier to learn rather than just doing one because other people say it it's best! Good luck and have fun!

It depends on your interest. Your friend suggest you to learn French because French vocabulary is similar to English vocabulary. It is easy for you to remember the words and phrases. But I have learned from on book that Germeny and English are in the same language family. They relates each other more closer than French and English. But I suggest you to choose according to your interest because iterest is the best teacher. No language is easy to learn. I have learn Janpanse for more than one year.I like it though I have many difficulties in learning it.

Well, I can't pinpoint one certain foreign language for you to learn and master. I guess it really depends on you. To be honest, I don't know and haven't checked where you're from. I'd like to share some things with you and I hope you'll get something out of this. First, about Spanish language: I'm from the Philippines and the Spanish language was formerly included in the curriculum of the college students here in our country; mainly because the Spaniards were one of those who colonized us. But this subject was thought about more than two decades ago. Second, some of my friends and relatives told me that it's good to learn French. But I thought otherwise. I have nothing against the language nor the people; but I just know that if I'm not going to use it; either to teach it or speak it, what use would it have for me in my life?! Personally, I'm trying to learn Mandarin for the main reason that I'm planning to work in another Asian country. Hopefully, I'd be fluent enough in the language before I leave our country. Anyway, I also do hope that you'll know sooner or later as to what language you'll want to learn. Good luck and God bless always.

Actually I thought about spanish , because its language of so many developed country and I have to go in IT sector. I think you should answer 3 questions before you choose the language you study. The first one, what do you want to study. The second, the language you choose what it will help you in the future. And the last, do you like best of these language. I think after you answer these questions, you'll choose the language you study

There are many languages you can choose from. But i think it depends mainly on your interest, where you will use it. I mean how it will affect your work. it's nice to study French and German because i personally think it has class. But then, if you will go to any country, it is possible that you will meet Chinese everywhere so i think conversation-wise, it's better to learn Chinese or Mandarin.

Actually, I am so agree with the comments from all the friends. To choose which foreign language is totally depends on what you will do in the future, and what you are interested. To learn a second language takes a lot of effort, so you must be interested in it. For our Chinese students, most of us learned English as it is an universal language, and lots of company will have English interviews, so if we want to find a good job, we must learn English very well. But now, rare foreign Languag is much more popular now as too many people learn English. So people who can speak German, French, Korean... can get a very good job and earn more money. So my suggestion is you need to do a job investigation to find out which language might be popular in your country, and that might help you to find a good job after you graduated.

i think if you would like to learn a new language, it should be the language that really interests you. in my case i like spanish. maybe it's because are native language Filipino has a lot of words derived from Spanish so it's a lot easier. To be more practical, other than English (which a part of our curriculum since kindergarten), i would like to take up Mandarin or Fukien because majority of the population in the world speaks Chinese. But if you're already working, you might as well consider the language some of your clients use. like in our case for example, we have counterparts in Canada so it would help me if I can speak French. :)
