Is safe to have a tattoo?

I am not afraid of a needle but i was just feel that i am not secure with it..I am afraid to get some sickness or illness with it like hepatitis or other that involves blood..Is it that safe? There were some incidents that i heard so...It freak me out. Even in having a manicure to a parlor station i can't even dare to do it...I bought my own stuff to clean my toes. I feel more safe..So, is it safe to have a tattoo?
Supposedly i love and planning to have a tattoo on my left upper chest..A small butterfly with a color combination of black,red and blue.. But i am still doubt about it if i will pursue or not...

Hi there oz,
It is safe to get tats nowadays. They sterolize the needle before they start working on you. I'm getting me a tat here in a couple of days.
I think I'm going to get an Eagle put on my right arm. I love Eagles.
But, they do seralize the needle though before they start on you.

please don't have a tatoo.... i wish i could make u believe why not? but pleeeeeeeeezzzz don't have it... its a commandment from GOD.....

If you are allergic to the ink, it's definitely not safe. There is a certain percentage of people who have such allergies, but they usually don't know it until it's too late. Depending on the severity, the reaction may be immediate or it make take hours or perhaps days to manifest itself.

Be sure that you used new needle before you start by doing that you are sure that you are safe in any illness.

Having a tattoo is safe, but it depends on the one who will be doing it. The tools should be sterile, to avoid infections. I had my tattoo done by my friend, and never had experienced any complications. Before you get your tattoo done, you better think a hundred times. Tattoo will be there forever in your body. well if they use new needles then i don't think there is a problem health wise. but as for me, i don't think i would want a tatoo. it is permanent so i am afraid to put something like that on my body. if it is temporary like a henna tatoo, i wouldn't mind, because it is like just fashion. but when it is permanent, it is scary, i think for me...hehe
