Usernames

May 5, 2008 7:05am CST
I'm just curious about people's usernames When you use different web sites do you use the same username or do you change what you use? I tend to keep the same one that way if people you know from one site will recognise you straight away. What made you choose the name that you use? i always tried using my first name but was always taken up and as for numbers i'm hopeless at remembering them. So on one occassion my username was a suggestion by a site and i've used it ever since. It's good as it uses my usual name people call me jule also my star sign is cancer, which is a water sign, so aquajules is great, it's got too number 4 because i kept forgetting my passwords. Now i use the same ones randomnly. I look forward to hearing your responses

Hello there my friend. For my answer on this, I prefer as best as possible to use the same pen-name or rather, user name because I love to just be myself and let things flow. zed_k4 is derived from my own personal name and people, friends and family members either call me zed or z. As for K4, it is actually a Suzuki bike which I'm currently riding and it's my wife at the moment, ha! I don't believe in keeping a different kind of nick, unless it's for a writing site where it allows some kind of creativity. But for my social networking site friendster and multiply, I stick to my zed_k4 nick. It's best that way. Take care and have a nice day there. :)-

It's nice to have an unusual name, mine is too common to use that's why i changed it to what it is now. I quite like mine. What time is it where you are?

it depends lol sometimes i use different kinds of patterns when it comes to usernames. i get mine because i get it from the word rain as in rain and i just change the spelling to make it more feminine then i found it also a bit mysterious. the 7315 on my name symbolizes my birthday and our anniversary. i just compressed it because 731 (july 31) was my birthday and 315 (march 15) was our anniversary

it's nice to have a username that means something to you, yours sounds really mysterious, i also like keeping some parts of me a mystery. My birthday is 23rd july so just before yours and my mum's is the 29th. Popular month. Have a good day

I just use my English name. The pronunciation of my real name is difficult to pronounce for english-speaking people.I think the english name is easier remembered.

It's nice if you have a different name, to the one you use at home. What is your name? if you don't mind me asking

I hope you remember them all, do you write them down or do you have a good memory? I am member of so many sites if i did not have the same one i would forget which one was for what. It's bad enough when they give you passwords to remember.

I have one user name for pretty much every site. (It's my first and middle initials then my last name.) I tried using it for MyLot, but never received a verification link. So, I used my father's first and middle initials then his last name. That one worked.

it's good to have name that you remember, also people recognise you on different sites then. Can help boost your earnings on them as well

Hi:) I use the same user name. it's easiest. I'm member many sites, forums etc, etc. and I haven't any problem when I login. and my login is my pseudo - so it's easy to remember. Only in on-line games I use different name - Grizzel. But for every game is this same too :)

i'm like you i keep the same one, sometimes though the site does not always allow it. So what does Grizzel stand for anything in particular??
