What do your Students' Union do in your country?

In my country Students' Union in high school and college are quite different.
In high school it's just an echo of the teachers,they don't do practical things.
An in college,they have much freedom.They host a lot of activities,even some commercial activities.
I'm also a member of Students' Union of my college.I love working with my friends.
