Hi! You are quite right. Anyone can start a business. And I dont think its that easy even when you know you're niche. More factors are into play and have to be considered when you really are going to start a business. I should know this since I am a Business major. Other success stories in business make it sound so easy dont they?? But honestly I found it quite hard to get a business off the floor. Also anyone can start a business but the trick in every business is in maintaining it. When sustainability is into play and already is embedded in your current business then you're good to go. This will give your business the edge it needs to continue in existing. Im not saynig that this is the onyl thing that needs to be considered. There are still lots but I guess its the common factor. Do yo have a business yourself? Or are you thinking of starting one thats why you're doing the initial research in starting up your own?^_^

I like your comment. I have a degree in business as well so I can hear the text books spitting stuff out at me right now. LOL But what I really wanted to add was that there is a statistic and I think it is 1/3 new business fail in the first year 4/5 don't make it to their 3rd birthday. Also, before finding a successful venture, people usually fail two or three times before they have success. OK, I fudged the stats, but they are something like that. :D

I am the administrator for healthcare company. Over the last 6 years I have just done my job and in the end my bosses owned million dollar companies. I have always wanted my own business but researched and planned and spun my wheels. After recently helping my mom start her own business (www.conniescreativecatering.com) in my spare time. I realized my niche might be helping others start up their own business or help those small businesses that are struggling. I so agree with the biggest part of a good business is maintaining it. Anyone can say the are the best in the business, but only a few follow through. I believe it is something that has to do be done in every part of the business with every step.

My niche is honesty and support. Seriously. I earn online and have always been very honest about the programs I promote and exactly how much I earn. I have regular readers of my blog and I think it's because of my approach. In an online world where people will say anything to get you to join, I tell the truth. :)

I blog about earning online. I discuss the sites, promotions, where to find referrals, what sites have gone under. I show exactly what I'm earning online. I want everyone to have the success I have had earning online. There aren't mysteries, people just need to know what works and not waste their time.

I have too many. That is my problem. I chose to start a landscaping company and have been doing it ever since. I enjoy taking a long vacation throughout winter as well as not having to answer to someone else. We specialize in the design, installation and maintenance of flower beds.

Derek Gehl is a man who has been challenged to create a brand new online business on his own without the help of his programmers, web developers, and copyright writers. He was also told that he only has one week to do this, and guess what...he accepted it. He filmed the entire process and turned it into a four video course. Video 1 - Finding a niche Video 2 - Write a salesletter Video 3 - Setting up a website Video 4 - Traffic (SEO, Adwords) He is now doing a 28 day build a business challenge for a few selected people. I am not sure how many spots are still open. I can give you a link to his website if you want it.
