Being Tired

I was just wondering how many people on here wake up tired? No matter what time I go to bed and get up in the am, I am always tired. I thought they said, you need less sleep when you get older, I think they got it backwards, lol, I am exhausted! LOL Does anyone wake up and actually feel awake and refreshed? If so, what is the secret?

I find I feel more tired when it's winter and the days get shorter, if you live far from the equator. Within an hour of it getting dark, I feel like going to bed, and I'm not really ready to drag myself out again, until it's light outside. I'm the opposite way in the summer.

Yes, I hate the winter, it's dark so early, the night seems to go on forever, summer is so much better. I too feel more awake in the summer then the winter. Just want to hibernate with the bears in the winter.

It's a season so don't hate winter, accept it. Winter is meant for sleeping. Non veg's and casual drinkers enjoy winter a lot. So enjoy this winter season

I am almost always tired. Some days more than most, but there are very few times that I actually think, "no, I don't think I could use any more sleep!" I think part of it has to do with how well you sleep. Are there any distractions around, keeping you awake, waking you up? Sometimes, falling asleep with the TV on doesn't allow you to fall into a deep sleep. If you drink too much before bed you may wake up to use the bathroom. A whole bunch of things.

It's strange but when I don't get enough sleep at night I am quite alert during the day, but if I do sleep through the night I yawn all day long.

What? Morning already? - hand reaching to turn off radio alarm clock
I always wake up tired even if I get 8 hours sleep. Sometimes if I get a better QUALITY of sleep (really getting into a deep sleep), I feel more refreshed and that is more likely to happen if I do things like drinking warm milk or listening to relaxing music, etc., before going to bed.

It happens with evryone, but the best way to start day after waking up is have two glass of water and then start meditating for two hours. It will take off your sleep and start your day

I am anemic, so from time to time I wake up tired. I am also Diabetic, and I am sure this has something to do with it as well. I think a lot of it, is just knowing what to do to help keep it from getting too bad. I take Vitamins and such which have seemed to help me, and such. If nothing is seeming to help you out, no matter what you do, you might consider going and seeing your Doctor and getting tested to see if you might be Anemic or something. Sometimes that will help just to give you relief knowing nothing is wrong.

I do understand what you are feeling. I don't know what refreshing sleep is. I do suffer from a chronic illness that causes me to be tired most of the time. I wish there was some way to rest and wake up feeling good. I have felt so horrible for so long that this is normal. I don't think I would know what to do if I woke up feeling refreshed. I wish I could be of help...but I can relate to how you are feeling.

I have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia, so I am always exhausted and tired. I have had these illnesses for 16 years and no matter how much sleep I get, I still feel the same. I can't honestly remember the last time I awoke feeling refreshed. There are days where I will wake up, take a shower, and feel as though I have physically worked for hours and hours. I do take sleeping pills, but they do not even work all of the time. I would suggest seeing your doctor and having a complete medical workup done.

Almost evryone wakeup tired, bcoz of hormones nature. But it depends on person how active he is after waking up. I having seen people doing exercise after waking up and some people again going to sleep. So i agree with ur point of veiw
