e-book for cell phone ?

are there are any file type that can be readed by the cell phone as a some kind of e-book ?

As far as I know, not in normal phones you could read text files. But in smart phones and in the blackberry type phones, it is embedded with a software and you could read e-books which normally comes in text form.
