I have two dogs Golden Retreiver 11yrs, Dalmation 7yrs. My two sons have staffies, one is 2yrs, the other one a 5month pup. They all live together quite happily, people say staffies are bad tempered and nasty and dont mix with other dogs. That is rubbish? all four dogs eat together never scrap over there food, play together, go for walks, swim in the sea and are very obedient. They are good company and sit on the settee with me its a squeeze lol but fun, I couldnt be without them. My Dalmation sleeps on my bed, my retriever likes the run of the house shes on gaurd. The two staffies sleep on there masters beds, do you mylotters have dogs and spoil them?????????????????? Tell me about them?

I used to have 8 cats, they all had there own personality, some did not like the other cats, some liked only humans, others liked only cats, and some didn't really care for either, now we just have one lieft, he is one of the ones that kept to himself but now that he is alone he is always near me, and wants a lot of attention.

Wow Winterose, eight cats, the most I have ever had at one time was four and I have two now. One of my two in a say at home cat and the other comes in for a fuss and to be fed and is then off out again. They all have such individual personalities don't they. Ellie :D

Sounds like you have a lovely family of dogs there! I don't have a dog sweets - I am honest enough to say that I wouldn't want to be walking a dog in all different weather and it wouldn't be fair to have a dog and not look after them properly! xxx

It is great that your sons are so responsible and helpful - how old are they? Your dalmation sounds like a real sweety! My daughter loves Dalmations - though she is very nervous of dogs - specially ones she doesn't know - she used to be terrified of them all! xxx

My sons are 18,20 and 27. They are very good lads. At the moment Im sat on the settee and my shadow "rizz" is with me and the two staffies all squeezed up together. My other dog is sitting on my foot lol. I find it very hard to use my laptop as they lay so close to me. I woulnt have it any other way.

I have three dogs. A Black Lab that was a rescue & is 7 years old. A Fox Terrier that was a rescue and is 1 year old and a Chihuahua that is 1 year old that we purchased. They're super spoiled and I'm proud of it! LOL I love animals. All 3 sleep in my bed with me. It's quite hilarious. My kids tease me that I'm going to become the "cat" old lady only with "dogs"! LOL

In my time I have fostered a lot of dogs, other wise they would have been put to sleep. It is so nice to have dogs to spoil "Dog Lady" lol.

I used to have 3 dogs but, sadly, 2 had to be put down due to old age and not being able to care for the other one any longer. The 2nd one was my hubby's dog and when he left us, he threw over his shoulder to just have her put down. Like he didn't even care about her. The poor girl. I loved em both but Shady was crippled with arthritis and in alot of pain. The meds just stopped working for him. He told me he was ready to go. So he laid on the front seat while we made the last trip to the vet for him. Lucky ended up going to the local shelter who warned me that noone will want an old dog no matter how lovable and cute they are and will be put down. I hated to do it but with hubby not helping out with the bills, I really had to cut back on everything, including internet/phone. Domingo is our only dog now. He is, I'm guessing, 7 yrs. old and a Black Lab/Pit cross. He's a total pest if he really knows you. Can't sit on the couch or floor w/o him climbing into your lap for kisses and cuddles. lol Yes, he's spoiled rotten. All my animals are.

I haven't dogs anymore but did have two labrodors that I fostered after they were made homeless and they were both such characters and even though both were eleven years old, one was like a big baby and an escape artist and the other was like a cantankerous old man. They would sleep back to back on the sofa and look like two book ends. They were both my babies at that time and everyone loved them. They got on really well and also with other dogs too. My friend had a staffie and a jsck russell and they would often all go out together and have fun. I would like to get another dog in the future but I work now and don't think it is fair to get one until I can be at home again to be able to take for walks and runs on the beach. They are just like family aren't they. You certainly have a house full there don't you. Ellie :D

I do have a house full, when it gets to much I will chuck my sons out and keep the dogs. lol Owners should socialise there dogs and they would get on amasingly, not wanting to fight, There is always someone at home for my dogs, I would worry about them if I was out to long. Shopping is ok they are fine fore at least three hours they just sleep, I bring them home a doggie treat lol.
