Can you stand your inlaws?

You all might hate me, but I LOVE my in-laws! They are super-nice balanced people who try their best not to meddle. Sure we've had some misunderstandings and don't always see eye to eye but they genuinely care for us. My husband and mother care for each other, too, but they almost NEVER see eye to eye and I feel like a ping-pong ball interpreting each other's intentions to each other all the time! But if we didn't all get along, I can barely imagine how bad family holidays like Christmas would be - especially with the kids involved! So what's everything like with your inlaws?

Why should everybody hate you just because you like your inlaws? It is a matter of individual preference and character. I too like my inlaws although we have a lot of differences. We all live together as one family.

Ah, I don't mean hate literally, just like really jealous. It was just an expression, really. I'm glad you get along with your inlaws. It makes life so much easier.

I'm glad to hear everyone is making effort for her sake. Kids learn so much from the adults around them, and they always find a way to think that issues going on around them are caused by them somehow. Keep it up!

I love my in- laws, because they never interfer in any matters , in fact my mother in -law shares with me every thing ..you will be surprised ours is a love marraige and we both are from different religion and we got married 4 years back till the date we never had any problem with in- laws or with my parents, we live and enjoy together ..it is just the God's grace ... But most of my friends have problem with in-laws, may be lack of understanding is a reason...never know ...

Wow, it sounds like you have a great situation going! To be from different religions must be difficult sometimes, though.

I also love my in-laws... they are very nice decent people... and they love children... especially their grandchildren very much... i don't have a babysitter... mainly because i don't trust any... so everytime i go to work... my in-laws take care of my baby... they are so good at doing that... and i am assured that she is well taken cared of everyday...

It's pretty cordial and nice; my in-laws are very friendly and helpful people. The fact that they live in another country helps tremendously too! And I usually try to close one eye to a lot of stuff... Of course they aren't perfect... There are some things that annoy me like the generalizations that my MIL (mother-in-law) and step-father-in-law make about people from my culture, but all that is small stuff which annoys me at that moment but isn't worth fussing over.
