Abortion illegal and birth control

I do not think that birth control and abortion is the same thing. Birth control prevents you getting pregnant, whereas abortion stops you being pregnant once it is too late. I think both should be legal.

Abortion is NOT a "part" of birth control. It IS a part of population control. Population control is what you described in China, and it is not a good thing. Yes there are many people in the world, yes there are food shortages, bad environments, etc...but that doesn't give ANY government the right to decide how many children a couple can have. I believe birth control should remain legal, it helps a couple become steady and well adjusted before bringing another life into this world. It also helps to space out their children so they don't have one right after another, and they can get through the terrible two's without having an infant in tow. Birth control stops a pregnancy from becoming. It prevents sperm from fertilizing an egg, therefore no life has yet been created. Abortion KILS an innocent life after it has already been created. Anyone committing an abortion without medical necessity should suffer the same consequences as anyone else who steal the life of another human being. Abortion should be illegal and consider Murder in the first, since it does take intent to commit. The woman choosing to have the procedure done should be charged with conspiracy to commit, and the doctor should be charged with murder 1. Now, before any of you pro-choice people get your panties in a bunch, let me say one thing. I understand why you believe a woman has the right to do with her body as she pleases. This makes perfect sense. But once that child has begun to form in her womb, it has a heart beat and a sole, it is no longer her body that she is choosing to "do with". It is the body of an unborn child that she is knowingly choosing to eliminate. How do you feel about the mothers that drown their babies after birth due to postpartum depression? Or the fathers who kill there children and there mother because it was too hard to handle? These people deserve to be locked up don't they?

Boy, you have given us a lot to think about here! As for me, I would never have an abortion and would love to see it become illegal except in certain extreme cases. I am in favor of safe and effective birth control and feel it is a good way to control the population. Just my opinion!

Point understood, but when you discuss birth control there is another story about it. My daughter is now diagnosed with having endometriosis and has to take Harmone therapy. In other words it's the same thing as birth control. So if that is going to be taken away she will suffer and possibly have surguries and also never be able to have any children of her own. Oh and another thing "she was a birth control baby!"
