Hello jimncha, I crochet, so I made my mom a nice warm blanket with the colors of navy blue and white that I'm going to give to her on Sunday. I would like to take her out for brunch also. I don't live close to my mom either but it's close enough to drive to her about 40 minutes away.

Pretty much all my life I've never live further than 45 minutes away from my mom. I can't imagine living any further. You much miss your family and I feel bad for you that you can't spend mother's day with your mom. It's too bad a vacation wasn't planned for you to see her this weekend. Or where your vacation would fall on this weekend. No matter how far you are from her I'm sure she will love to hear from you.

My mother isn't with us any more. So I'm the Queen mother now. We are going to spend the day having a picnic at the park. Then we are going out to dinner.

i bought my mom a water wand (you hook it onto your hose and it makes it easier for her to water (she loves to garden) and for my mother in law, we bought her a large planting box (next week is also her birthday) with lots of beautiful flowers in it, plus i made them each a set of magnets and a card.

Well we have already had Mothers Day in the UK, in March. I bought my Mum a bone china cup with a tray and it had a lovely poem on it about how special she was, she apparently according to my eldest son was really upset about me buying her a cup!! I really do not think she read the words on it, sometimes Mums can be really hard to please!!

My Mother and I share a love of poetry. We have both written quite a few poems in our life. I took a lot of hers and put them together, and made her a book on cafepress out of them. I know she is going to love her present this Mother's Day!
