12v battery fisher price jeep - wont go

The battery has been charged over 48 hours, installed correctly - does anything else need to be pressed, turned or anything other than the acceleration? It is not working and I was hoping there was a "secret" button so I don't have to buy a new one!

Is it in gear? Make sure the little lever under the seat isn't in the middle position but down. Down should make it go forward and up should make it go in reverse. My daughters Power Wheels Jeep has two speeds so there are two "down" positions for the switch. One gear is fast and one is slow. If that isn't the problem maybe a wire going from the switch to the batter or to the pedal might be the problem or it could be the batter. Hope you figure it out!
