If you have an antivirus program it will find it for you. If not, you can try to find the file, but sometimes they are hidden. You may end up having to use your master recovery discs in order to remove these.

Simplest, most effective method of making sure you got rid of it is to reinstall your Operating System. Don't forget to reinstall an antivirus application, too.

When anti-virus cannot detect a trojan, I use Process Explorer. It is a software that can be downloaded freely from the Internet. It can view all running applications including the hidden ones. Through Process Explorer, I was able to kill the unpleasant running applications. Then I can delete them manually.

A Trojan is not a faulty program (a program that is poorly written). It is a program that is deliberately written to look harmless or beneficial but it carries a payload that is designed to do bad things. The name comes from the Greek story of the Trojan Horse. Trojans use to be pure vandalism. They would induce someone to download them and then, when run, do things like delete the hard drive. Now days, they typically run and do what they say they will but they also do something in the background such as download other harmful programs, search for user names and passwords to send home and/or work to infect other computers. The last example is more properly called a worm.

Hi, First of all you need to update your antivirus regularly. An antivirus, if out of date, is not of much use. The first phase is detection. Any good antivirus program, even if it is free, can detect the trojan, provided its database should have the knowledge of all recent virus signatures. This means you have to turn on the auto update feature. You not only need to update the database but also the program whenever available. Detection is the most important phase here. So you must also have some basic knowledge about how a Trojan operates. If a Trojan is secretly running in your system there will always be some indications. Read http://www.bukisa.com/articles/332456_indications-of-a-trojan-infection to find out all the possible indications of a Trojan infection. You may need to check the system log for any abnormal event. In order to do that you must know how to interpret it. While connected to the internet you may run the netstat command to identify any program that is trying to connect to a remote server without your exclusive permission. Read http://www.bukisa.com/articles/333246_detecting-malware-programs-with-netstat-command to learn about the command. Rely on your common sense and look for any anomaly in your system. Once detected, the removal is quite easy. You may use some anti-spyware program. You may try to delete it manually. Sometimes you may also have to modify the registry entry. Even after detection you may not delete the file. In that case use the netstat command, as mentioned, to identify the malicious executable file and prevent it from running. Then you will be able to delete the file. Thanks. God bless you

I use AVG, the free antivirus software offered by Grisoft. You can do a search for it (and get paid for the search - see my profile!) and find it easily enough. They capture the virus and put it in a vault so it can't harm you, then delete it.

Antiviruses nowadays are able to detect trojans. Still the best way is to reformat your computer if you haven't done it for a long time. You'll see after reformatting, it'll be faster~

I am currently using kaspersky anti virus, it's effective for tracing that kind of worm... Maybe you could also use it.
