My sister and I went to see my dad today. He's been very ill for about three weeks and finally she brought him to the hospital. He was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. We went to see him and when we walked into the intensive care unit, he was hooked up to all sorts of cords and wires and he just looked so helpless. My dad's always been the guy who does things for himself. Never asks for help. I went in there today and just wanted to cry after seeing him and hearing him try to talk. I'm hoping he gets better soon so he can go home and start to live his life again. It was just so scary seeing him like that.. I didn't know what to do. Have you ever had to experience something like that? Or a less personal question: What's the scariest thing you've ever experienced?
