hi everyone... how you plan to celebrate it? do you eat outside? giving cards? saying i you mom? buying gifts? almost yearly during mothers day or her birthday me and my younger brother buying cake to our mom but this year we decided to be different. since eating sugar is no good to health.me and my younger brother decided to treat our mom in these 2days of the weekend and not let her cook...i decided that we eat at our favorite vegetarian restaurant in Chinatown here in manila. and my younger brother will treat her on Sunday a non vegetarian dish... how you plan to celebrate it? ^_^

My kids will give me gifts that they made at school, and that is probably it. My husband will probably go golfing cause he forgets the holidays, and I refuse to remind him. LOL

I have even forgotten mothers day and have to ask my roommates to remide me to give my thanks and wishes to my mom. I uesd to ignore that day the same as farthers day, because I have no habit to celebrate that days. The last year, when I go far away from them, I gave my mothers day wish to my mom by phone, but I forgot farthers day and my farther waited the whole day for my phone and finally got disapointted. When I knew that, I was so sad that I hurt him. So I must remember this year. I am not a good daughter I think. I think sending a card is a good idea or I can also write a letter. And when I come back to home, I want to do all the cooking that day and all the housework that day or before that. I don't know what gift is better, I don't know what they need or want. When I think about these things, I think I am really really a bad daughter! They give me so many loves, but I give them nothing! It is time for me to give back them my love. Best wishes and bessings to my mon and dad!

My g/f and I both have lost our mom(her at a very young age).I will visit my mom's grave to place flowers on it and my brother's and sister's grave beside hers. Then I will go to a quiet place in the woods and reflect upon my family. It is not a sad time, just a time to reflect.

Hi metal_monkee! To be honest with you, Mother's day is a sad day for me. I have lost my beloved Momma 15 years ago and it still hurt me missing her so much and I have no children of my own even I have been married for a long time. However, I usually buy my grandma a cake on mother's day and with my mother in law, I have to ask my hubby what is his plan. Just my thoughts. Take care and have a nice day!

mother's day - a very special day for my mom
yeah, that was also very usual here as giving my very own made card when i was a kid, buying flower and preparing a little party as buying a round cake and sort balloons. Now i make it different as surprising her on a beach snack. She doesn't really know it as i ask my sister and brother cooperation for preparation unnoticeable with the help of my sister's bestfriend for making salad and sort of
