1997 Dodge Caravan door locks

Has anyone fixed the lock on drivers door? How does the
outer cover come off? Snaps? Will it go back together?
I have instructions for what to do once I get inside, but I just can't figure it out, and I don't want to get it off then not have it go back on. Anyone? Thanks.

Hum. I have a 1995 dogde caravan and the door messed up so my hubby just put big nails through it. We used the passanger door. Shortly after the van doesnt run anymore.
Something that happens to all dodge vans? Interesting.
