In case of Emergency...pls. contact this person

I have found a certain discussion that asked what can be found in one's bag. And most have answered that they have their cash, cellphones, credit/debit cards, etc. It seems everything a person needs are just within reach. I've thought about this subject of discussion when I went out of the house today. The weather wasn't good because of the heavy rain. I didn't want to leave but I have a doctor's appointment. Then I suddenly thought what if unfortunately, I got caught in a road accident? That's when some good samaritans will try to rush me to the nearest hospital and search my bag to look for something very important. Only to find that it's not there. And that something is the listed number of the person to be contacted in case an emergency such as accidents like that happens. What then? I guess, the next best thing for the hospital staff to do is to check each names listed in my cellphone and ask if they are a relative of mine.If it's possible for them to have that extra time to do some checking. And that is if my phone still works... And come to think of it, when I checked my bag... surprise!I didn't have one.So, I immediately grabbed a paper and temporarily wrote 4 persons to be contacted. My husband, my sister, my sister-in-law and last but not the least, my mom. There's safety in numbers! So, do you have one too? Or someone else might just have to do some guessing game when the time comes?

Hi jcj, I utterly agree with you that it is really important to have the cellphone numbers and names of our loved ones in our purse. In case if we encounter any accident or emergency at least there are phone numbers for the person who tries to help us could contact the right person immediately. Though I know this long a ago I still don't have any of them in my purse and I think I shouldn't procrastinate anymore. I think this is the right time for me to get ready the card with the required particulars as mentioned. Thanks for reminding me as such and take care.

You are very much welcome jcj. I had typed the names and cellphone numbers of my husband, son, sister and brothers on a piece of orange card. I insert the card in the top plastic compartment which we can see the lovely orange card easily. It is really essential for people like me who always go outing with friends or alone to have such card in our wallet. Thanks again for the nice discussion. Good luck and happy posting.

Hello ikbooi. I'm glad that this discussion gave the awareness that it truly needs. Like you, I went on for so long without having that important list of contact persons. Now, I'm fully comfortable going out and not having to worry if ever such events occur.

That's great. We always have to be ready, just in case such things happen. It will be a lot easier for everyone. Saves valuable time.

I always have lots of personal Identification Cards inside my wallet, I guess that's how they can trace my family's whereabouts. I also have my land line number in it, aside from the cellphone I usually carry whenever going out. I never really thought of putting them really or that it even got to my mind, because most of us do wish for a safe and peaceful journey whenever we venture out..

Hi raijin. How are you?Like you, I really haven't thought about that much thought either. Well, except yesterday. There's always this train of thought at the back of my mind that I'll still be able to go back home, no untoward incidents. But it's still a lot more helpful if we have some clear and visible listing of the persons that should be contacted in cases of emergencies.
