That is really the worst. My daughter has a horrible teacher for Language Arts. I can't wait for the end of the year so she is not in this woman's class anymore. The lady talks down to me and to all the kids. She bombards me with phone calls and emails telling me how bad my kid is doing but, gives no suggestions on how to help her.

oH!! THAT'S RUDE FOR A TEACHER TO DO THAT? Did you come to school and observe how your kid is doing in there? There are times that kids are misbehaving but if parents and teachers are working hand in hand to help the child improve his/her behavior, it is really worth!!! You need to talk to your child's teacher.. and ask him/her proof of your kid's being bad. Teachers are not suppose to be there to look down students but to help them in many ways.

I would sent my husband to the school to talk with him or her. I lose my temper faster than he does when it comes to things like this and so it is easier to send him. I have had to deal with difficult teachers in the past. Now that we home school we don't have to deal with those kinds of issues.

Thanks for the reply. Good for you, you are now save from dealing with difficult teachers. It's really hard.. but if you have a lot of patience to handle this, things would be fine. You will always win if you are right!! just don't make any move that will make you a loser. Screaming and yelling not worth. You will come out as villain.

My son is a 5th grader, his teacher would call me every other day telling me all this different problems my son would do in his class. I got frustrated for all this phone calls I've been getting from him. My son's teacher and I are working in the same school. I went to his class one after school and then told him that not just because were co-workers doesn't mean that he can keep calling me in my class and tell me all this problem that my son is doing in his class. His a teacher so he should know what to do when a student misbehaves in class. But still the next day he still calls. So I went to the Principal, now I haven't got any phone calls from him. But whenever I go for my prep, I would go to my son's class for a visit.

yeah!! There are teachers who are inconsiderate. You are right, it is not really necessary to keep on bothering the parents for such minor things that occur in the classroom. It is the teacher's responsibility to settle the matter unless it is a great offense that needs parent's concern. There are teachers who are immature!! they don't know how to handle things professionally. Thanks for the reply.
