Last night we got the phone call that my sister in law's water had been trickling down her leg and they were going up to the hospital because she'd been cramping for a while. I anxiously sat by the phone waiting for the phone call for me to head up but it never came until 6 am this morning. Everything was moving so slowly, * her first baby * Anyways, I got to the hospital and I had never felt so helpless in my entire life. Watching her go through each contraction and the nurses and midwife were not allowing her ANY pain relief. They assured us that everything would be much smoother if it were "natural" but thats a whole different topic in an of itself. I myself have given birth to two little girls and until today had never seen a live birth. I must say, it is one of the most beautiful things I have ever been able to see. Watching my new neice come into this world was one of the best things I have ever experienced and I am so thankful to have been able to be a part of that. What are some of your best experiences during a live birth?

Being a father of 5 kids, I can relate pretty well! I was there for each of them being born. That was the absolute best feeling in the world! Nothing in my life has been more stressful, fun, scary, intimidating, exciting and awesome! Even after number 5 I felt all the same feelings! I would gladly do it again, but my wife says enough! lol

We are trying for a third child. We would love to have a boy. I made a deal with him that if the third is a girl we could try a fourth... he says he either way its definatley something he would want to experience again.. But no more than 4 lol

I have two children my mother and my husband were there for both of the birts. My husand even helped the doctor pull my son out! He cut the umbilicol cords of both of my kids. I did not use pain relief as my labors were not that bad.
