Feng Shui

As the first Chinese to this discussion, I can proudly say that Fug Shui, is like everything else - very workable in moderation but it can border on superstition if taken to the extreme. For example, there are people in Asia who would not start a business or buy a house without consulting a Fung Shui master. There are people who take the idea of Fung Shui so seriously that they spend a fortune on little items, like stone dragons to be placed in certain parts of the home to make their luck better. To me, this sounds like pure superstittion and an abuse of tradition to not use your comon sense. However, having said all of that, there is alot of sense in Fung Shui. For example, Fung Shui dictates that you should not have your bed facing directly to a toilet nor should you keep your doors open. This is comon sense that should be practiced in the construction of homes and offices. And if you were in Asia, one should also give Fung Shui certain respect. Even if you don't believe it, other people do and this can affect your stakeholders perception of your business and homes and their interactions with you could be affected by Fung Shui.
