Single but happy?

I don't think that a married life is a miserable life. And I don't think a single is a happier life either. The sense of happiness is free for everybody, you could be happy if you want to be happy. Happiness is not a thing to look upon or to search after. It is more on the attitude, simply, just be happy. So whether, married or single both can be happy. I am single and I am happy. My parents are married, and they are happy, although there are low and high moments but they are together for 3o years. So happiness applies to both.

I think the saying is "It's better to be alone than with someone who makes you miserable". I'd agree with that one 100%. My ex was a nightmare and I was glad when he left. I was lonely by myself but when he came crawling back I slammed the door in his face. I couldn't bare the thought of being with him again. I think some single people are happy but I'd say most are lonely.

Neither side is a win, win. You can have a married couple where the relationship just went wrong and they are both miserable. A single person can be miserable as well. It all depends on how you look at your own situation. There is no win and lose, a single person can be happy single and many married people are happy.
