Being a huge Rachel fan, I watch her new shows, old shows, and the talk show. I have noticed that her style has changed a few times and since she has gotten the talk show they have made her look more fashionable. Which Rachel do you like the best? Personally, I like the older shows where her closed matched her personality. Even though she looks really good on the talk show, her clothes look like they are picked out for her and she doesn't seem comfortable in them.

I have not seen the show, but will tell u that everyones clothes r picked out for them, and almost everyone is wearing makeup. Most don't even have a choice in this. Remember the Arseneal Hall show when he was told he could have anyone on the show he wanted then when he had Minister Farrakan he show was cancelled? They lose most of their independence as a sacrafice for the money.

I don't remember that about Arsenal Hall, but it has been a long time since that was on the air. I realize that most people on TV don't choose their own clothes and all wear make up. Rachel Ray just use to have this certian style about her that she doesn't anymore.

I was in the audience for an Arsenio Hall show, but Joan Rivers was guest hosting and it was the one where someone famous, maybe Victoria Principal or someone similar gave out her phone number on the air and they had to remove it for the other time zones as it was done live for east coast.

I like Rachel better on Food Network, she definatly had more freedom to be herself. I watch both $40 a day and 30 Minute Meals. I also watch her talk show occassionally. I like her cooking shows better because she cooks normal, homestyle food. She doesn't kill everything with off the wall flavors and she doesn't use mushrooms for everything. I hate mushrooms.

Uh yeah...this from a guy that probably watches too many cooking shows, but I think she is about the same. I think the "new" Rachel your seeing is a result of her having too much fun in her life right now. I think as her fun grows so does her bubbly personality.

I think her personality is the same on 30 minute meals as well as her talk show. She does seem a bit more comfortable on the talk so but I think she is that way because there are real people to interact with.

I keep going back and worth about the talk show. Some days it is really good, others it does leave something to be desired. Either way you do learn something. I enjoy 30 minutes meals (I have almost all of the books) and $40 A day is cool because you get to see how she gets away with eating on just $40 in these huge tourist towns.

I think she tips the minimum IIRC. She doesn't tip badly though. The point to that show is to show people that they can eat on $40/day and get what they want and still leave some form of a tip. In reality, if you had only $40 and HAD to eat out for 3 meals, how well would you tip?

I have noticed that she does not tip very well on her $40 a day show. I only caught a bit of her talk show once as it is on here at 9 am and if home I watch Regis and Kelly instead. Her hair has changed a lot over the years and her face.

You should try to catch it if you are home during the day. Where I am it comes on at 4pm.

She is great on Food Network. Do you watch all of her shows or just a one?

I'm a big fan too. I don't know I think she looks good either way. At first I didn't like her talk show cause she seemed to do so much yelling. It drove me nuts. But either she has tamed down or I have gotten use to it cause I watch her daily. My 9 year old daughter likes the show too.
