yes, I really love mangostene. there's a lot of mangostene trees here in the Philippines but mangostene is much more expensive than the other fruits here. The covering of the fruit is actually more nutritious than the fruit but it is bitter tasting. I don't know if you have heard of Xango fruit juice. It fights cancer and cleanse the body. Its main ingredient is Mangostene. They say that mangostene can also alleviate the pain of arthritis because it lowers the uric acid. I hope I have shared some useful info about mangostene. LOL! Well, it just happened that I was browsing some topics here and I saw mangostene. I know a lot of things about this. I wanna share it all. Maybe I'll add something tomorrow. I gotta sleep because it's already 3 a.m. LOL! :0)

Yes, being Malaysian, but it's not really my kind of fruit. My hubby can't get enough of it though so whenever he comes down and it's the season, he'll gorge himself on those purple-white sticky stuff along with my parents. I just sit, watch and go "Eeek." ^.^
