19year old mother abandons new born baby in dump, enclosed in a washing machine

This woman is sick! To day is her second appearance in court. She left her new born baby for dead in an old washing machine.With the umbilical cord still attached! And the most unbelievable thing is she will only get 5-15years in prison. What are some people coming too?
now here's the story. This is her second child, the other child is 2years old. She claims that her mother told her she does not want to see another child in the house. So she went to the hospital, made the baby and dumped it. Now this baby was found surrounded by worms and flies, the baby is still alive.
That baby could've died. And where's the father? he wants nothing to do with the child. What are your comments on this act of attempted murder?

This post just broke my heart . How can people be like this? There are so many people out there who cant have babies and would of loved to raise this one . Why do something so sick when you could put the baby up for adoption . Even drop the baby off at a church . She should get life in jail .

Oh no by God's grace the baby is still alive. But she is a sick mother and i hope that one day that child can forgive her. But life is not a bad sentence for her. And yes she had so many other opinions, she did not have to do that.

People are doing some real crazy things. I hope the mother gets what is coming to her. That is just so wrong!! I hope the baby is doing well. It is sad that the father will have nothing to do with the baby. They will find the baby some parents that will love and care for the baby.

I too hope they find suitable parents for the child. The father he is stupid for not wanting such a beautiful child. I want her to get a maximum sentence. But do you know of any cases like this that have occurred in your country?

I am a mother of 2 beautiful daughters and a handsome stepson. I am just 22 years old and I could never, ever, ever emagine doing this. This just breaks my heart as there are so many people out there who can not have children of their own and look to adoption. 5 years? Oh yeah she'll get a lot out of that. She should be getting 30-life! She practically killed a newborn innocent baby. There are hospitals out there she could have just walked in said "I dont want this baby" and left and it would have been done and over with. Instead she gets in trouble with the law. Good post.

I agree with you she could have decided to give up the baby for adoption. And the sentence she may get is ridiculous! I hope that child in the feature is able to forgive her when she get out of prison and realizes what she has done.
