The laws of spiritual success state that one should help others to help oneself. This is a difficult concept for me from past experience. I've found that by helping others often they don't appriciate or even complain about my assistance, rather than express gratitude. I don't offer this help with the antisipation of making money, however I do try to recoup some expenses involved...perhaps these people just feel entitled to help? I would like to start a small business to suppliment my income. I have artistic inclinations. I draw, paint, practice photography, write, garden, and collect coins. Any suggestions for something I could do in my spare time? I meditate on this alot. I attempt to project positive energy out there. It would help greatly to understand the start-up of a small business, and the tax laws involved. I am located in Michigan. Can anyone direct me to a helpful website or otherwise give suggestions? Thanks for taking the time to read my post. Hope you have a great day!

Since selling coins was already mentioned... You said you like to write You could look into the site Associated Content. AC is a article submission site and I'm sure you could write a few articles each week to submit. AC pays one of two ways. The first is upfront payment/performance payments. If the article is something that AC is interested in, they may offer you an upfront payment (anywhere from $3-$20 for the article) and then you can continue to earn with monthly performance payments (1,000 combined views of all your articles pays $1.50 a month...the more views the more you make) There are several other article submission sites (like Helium) where you could write articles and sell them or just receive view payments. There are sights where artists sell paintings, or ACEOs like Etsy.com.- A sight where people sell and buyers look when they want to buy handamade items. As far as start-up costs, every state is different as far a state taxes go. Online start up is obviously the less expensive way to go (as opposed to a brick & mortar store) There are free sights where you can show off your photography, like Betterphoto.com They have monthly contests and it's really a great site, very friendly members, easy to navigate etc... and it's FREE- like all the sites I've mentioned!) If you do choose to sell some of your coins on Ebay, I have a couple of FREE programs that can help you increase your earnings... drop me a pm, if you'd like more info on those or anything else I might help you with! Have a great weekend!

Wow those are some great ideas! Do you write for Associated Content? What type of articles do they generally deal with? I've been thinking about writing a numismatic book and if I could do it article by article and get paid for submissions, then compile all the articles into chapters, that would be a great way to productively write, it would give me incentive. I've visited Helium before but never really got productive there...do you like that site? Considering your knowledge on art and photo sites, I assume you are an artist? Do you have a website I could visit? I'd really like to see what you do! I wouldn't mind hearing more about those Ebay programs either, my wife likes to sell on Ebay. I mostly spend money there. Great website, I could waste days away on it. Thanks for your great response! I feel more inspired already!
