Do people still value life?

This question seems to be stupid but made me wonder why some people take their life for granted. They don't appreciate life and blames the world for their misfortunes. When I see those people living in the slums, majority of them are just slackers and bums and thinks that their life will always be like that. They don't appreciate that they are still alive and they are still on the face of this planet, breathing and living. It makes me feel bad that there are people who are struggling to be alive while some want their life to end. Some cancer or AIDS victims fights for their life while some people commit suicide. I guess this is one of the ironies in life. What do you think?

Yes it's true sometimes people end there life without thinking. They just focus on what they feel, their hardship in life and so on. But they do not think that they just borrowed it and have no right to end it. I know some who do it very shallow reason because his girlfriend break him. Well it's part of a relationship to be hurt so before going in to it be prepare that you can be hurt. I think people who do it has little faith and no self control. They just want to end it without seeking for a solution to their problem.

I agree with you. Some people wants to die for shallow reasons. They are not finding a solution to their problem, but an escape from reality. I guess if it comes to the point that men lose their interest in living, they could always seek God for help. He always have reasons why things happen. I also came to the point where I think my life sucks but I tried to find a solution, not an escape. I guess God made me realize that.
