What will you buy everytime you travel abroad? Key chains? candle? Or your special collection, such as matches box?

Hi, kevgirlalways, thanks for your response here. Buying t-shirts is a good idea too. And can show off to people that you've been that place!!!

I will take my baby son to Latvia this summer. I hope to buy a costume doll for my collection. I will buy some postcards of the localities that I visit. I usually bring back some foreign coins. I get gifts depending on what is available. My mum often likes to receive a T shirt and my sister sometimes likes to get a fridge magnet. I get a few fridge magnets if there are some lovely designs. I sometimes buy a colorful sarong if I visit a tropical beach location. I always keep some space in my backpack for souvenirs.

Thanks for your comment, maximas8. I always wanted to buy things that is useful for my loved ones, but I always stuck at that. I even don't know their size properly. So, most of the time, I bought wrong size or didn't buy at all due to not enough money! Hahaha...

Key chains are my favorites. From some countries, I buy calenders with beautiful pictures of the scenic places in the countries. I make sure I get a calender when I go to Japan at new year times.

Hi, greenline, seems like most of you like key chains. I am not a fan of calendar as I can just use my watch or handphone. So, I rather buy something else. Unless the calendar is very creative and beautiful. Thanks for your reply here.

When we traveled around Europe, we collected fridge magnets from each country, as well as postcards and stuff. When I go for my next adventure, I'll be trying to pick up something unique and more meaningful from each destination.. something that will mean more to me when I look back on my trip.

Thanks, darcyjohnperkins for your comment here. I agree with you that we should buy unique souvenirs from your travel destination. But not all of it is cheap to buy sometimes. It's also kinda hard to find too. Ever travel to Malaysia, here has many unique stuff that I believe you will enjoy if you like nature!

I like to buy local stuff or things that I cannot buy in my country i.e. I would buy Clogs if I go to the Netherlands.

Hi, tintinn, Well, buying local stuff is also a good idea too. You can even display it in your house as your collection.

Thanks for your response. Wow, sure you have to spend alot to buy those souvenirs. I think souvenirs should be something that is useful for your families and friends and not for the sake of show off only. Unless you collect it as collection!

my travels are only still just across the country so there's not much to buy that are really far off from those that you can usually see in the neighborhood. anyway, from my experiences, I have bought for myself and my loved ones tshirt souvenirs and accessories. XD

Thanks for your response here. Sure your loved ones loves the souveniers that you bought for them. I believe it's out of love and sure they felt it and touched by you. I seldom by souvenirs as I'm quite stingy person and I always stuck with low savings!!! Sigh...
