I can't wait until they get the Walmart built in our town. We have nothing here to really shop and have to drive about 10 miles to get to a larger store. But the nice thing is that this new Walmart will be the first of it's kind in the US. I guess it is going to look like a new school campus or something like that. I am SO excited.

I use to live in a really little town like that, but there was a walmart that was only 10 miles from my house so it wasnt that bad. I now live about 10-20 miles away from my old town and we have a walmart, kmart, staples, kohls, jcpenny, and all of those places. Its really nice because my house is literally 3 mins from walmart now. Not to mention about 3-4 mins away from all the fast food places and what not. I love it. Spending 18 years in a little town was nice, but living in an acutal city is so much better. As long as you exclude all the bad things about cities lol.

Oh that will be wonderful for you, I have been looking at little country towns maybe to move to but I think I would miss the shopping centres being close, I live in the city but I would still like to be closer to a big shopping centre...walking distance would be good...

I learned the hard way that having a Walmart near can be a blessing or a curse. I used to live 1 mile from a Walmart, and it seemed I was in there almost every day for some reason or another. Walmart is one of those stores which if I go into, I will get what I am going for, but almost always think of something I cannot live without while I am there. Now I am about 30 miles away and that is just fine with me, as I am close enough but not so close that I will run go get something I really could do without.

Well for our small township, there is really no place to shop but a food store or Dollar General. That is it. I know that the more traffic will be a headache and crime will more than likely go up, but it has been over 20 years since he had lost Kmart and Hills in our area here. We need an economic growth. We are also getting a Home Depot too!
