Taking surveys for "points"

Do you find this to ever be worthwhile, or do you stick to cash only surveys?

I do both. Often the points add up to cash, so I enjoy them.

I noticed that some just give you entries into their "sweepstakes" and that doesn't seem like anything that would ever amount to anything.

I think I earn more through the programs that pay with points. And since most of them exchange the points for gift cards, it's just about like cash, since I know I'm going to need to buy groceries anyway.

Yes, as long it you can spend it, that's what matters.

I love to read emails for points or take surveys for points, the one site I use you can turn your points from surveys into paypal cahs, and the piad to read emails for points sites I use. I use the points for gift cards and I take my husband out for his birthday and our anniversary twice a year with them,so I love em!

glad I could shed some light,it all depends on the site too the ones I use really don't take that long to get enough points to exchange with, but I liek the option to turn my points into paypal cash every little bit adds up ya know.

I think points are good coz if u gather more points u will see tht in few months u will hav enough points to redeem N can purchase...u can use it like cash also....whether cash or points ultimately both hav same value !!!!!! as far as i think !!

I guess as long as you get something out of it then you're ahead. I stay clear of the sweepstakes entry ones because I don't win!

That's what I'm thinking as well - it seems like it takes way too long to accumulate enough points to get anything.

I don't think I'd waste my time for points, although MyPoints is a reputable site that I've received many gift cards from in the last few years. I recently started working with CashCrate and I'm absolutely amazed at how quickly I've made a decent amount. I made more than enough for payout in my first few hours. I've got info for that and other things on my profile, if you'd care to look into it further.

I just started with CashCrate yesterday. It seems to be easy to maneuver. I have a son in college, so any extra money I can get will help out!

It has a little of everything. I've not had to pay anything at all and I made $14.20 my first day. I think today is my third day and I'm up to $25.25 confirmed to receive in a check next month. Go ahead and take a look and let me know that you signed up and I'll help show you around.

Ooops, I lied. I forgot another offer came through. I'm up to $26.75 today.

I like to take those types of surveys or read e-mails for points, but it depends on what you can use the points for. Some survey sites let you trade your points in for cash. The ones I don't like to spend anytime doing are the ones that give you "entries" to win prizes. I don't want to waste my time because I never win. I did this one site for a long time and got nothing at all. Surveys take up a lot of time, especially when you work an outside job, so I want to use it wisely.

They do take a lot of time, and I find that many times I will get halfway through one and all of sudden they decide that I'm not what they're looking for, so I don't get anything out of it.

I used to do surveys for points, but now lately I've just been sticking to cash only surveys. I don't mind the points surveys if I know that there are pretty good things to redeem them for, like gift cards for places that I normally shop. I just usually stick to the cash ones though, cause I know I can always use the cash for anything. :)

That makes sense - I want to be sure to check to see what I cn redeem my points for!

I think it really depends on exactly what the points will be used for. Occasionally, I find that these points surveys can be more rewarding than cash surveys.

This is true. It does seem like it take an awful lot of points to get anything substantial - I guess I'm just impatient!
