Was the Military parade recently put on by Russia simply an innocent ceremony for the marking of the change in leadership, or were they flexing their military might as a passive aggressive message?

Of course they where flexing their military muscles, but it is nothing to me. As you said it is a passive aggresive meesage. Russia means no harm to the USA. China is a bigger threat to China than we are. Of course we keep poking them in the eye my trying to bring more countries into NATO, and our missle defense shield. I do not think Russia has any plans to take over the world anytime soon.

Doesn't it seem that China and Russia have a less tense relationship then the U.S. and Russia? It seems to me they are following up on their strong words against the missile defense shield, than anything else. Of course I agree no body's set for war anytime soon and I think it was probably meant as a subtle message to the U.S. regarding their own military might.

I think the message usually for the European and the USA. It's like saying "Don't touch me or i will kill you" ha ha. The Russian trying to protect it's resources like the Oil and gas from the hands of the US and its allies.
