I just bought a new Ford Focus and it costs me about $40-$41 to fill up. Thats 11 gallons and I average about 300-320 miles per tank of gas which lasts me about a week or so. Not too bad considering some of the gas guzzlers people are driving right now.

$45 to $50 for my Kia Sportage. We were hauling some cattle to market for the boss with a Dodge 4x4 Pickup and stock trailer the other day and had to stop to fill with diesel. We finally stopped the pump at $130 and it wasn't full yet! Here diesel fuel is at least a dollar higher than gas. Since that is what fuels all of the big trucks on the highway that deliver our products, we can see why our prices are going up so much. Most farm tractors are also fueled with diesel contributing to the higher cost to the farmer to produce his products.
