Which type of files or folders are safe to delete? The one that will not cause us any troubles later on like *.TMP. How do we delete them? Are you using a special software or utility for these? Care to share your file maintenance tips.

I've used WINDOWWASHER before. It's a free program. I used this thing for many ,mnay years without a single issue or problem. It deletes uneeded files. I also use the system tools program called "disc cleanup" included in windows OS. http://www.eusing.com/Window_Washer/Window_Washer.htm HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Yes I would like to know myself. But before you give away a computer you should go through each and every file and delete your personal info.

Normally you would delete your profile in User Accounts. This will take care of removing all your document, internet history and saved password, your desktop and application settings.
