One of my favorite things in all the world is attending festivals in the spring time. It is festival season in my area and we have a festival of some sort every weekend for months. I particularly love the music festivals. This weekend's music festival is one of the top ones around and we really enjoyed the acts this year. We saw Loverboy, Pat Benatar, Blue Oyster Colt, The Guess Who, America, Everclear and several smaller more local bands. While they were all very good, I particularly enjoyed Blue Oyster Colt. This is the list of all the acts that were there. We heard bits of a lot of them but could not possibly have heard them all. 2008 Acts: Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo, Bret Michaels Rock of Love Tour, America, Everclear, The Guess Who, Loverboy, Jerry Jeff Walker, Blue Oyster Cult, Kathy Mattea, Eve 6, Roger Creager, Firehouse, Seven Mary Three, Quietdrive, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Butch Hancock, The Django Walker Band, Candy Coburn, No Justice, Slaid Cleaves, Jon Vezner, Steve Fromholz, Chris Smither, and Paramount's LaserSpectacular featuring the Music of Pink Floyd. If you could have attended this festival with me, what acts would you have chosen to go see? Are you more of a rocker like me? Country? or maybe don't even like music?

Duluth Minnesota which is about 150 miles from me North has a Blues Festival each year at the harbor of Lake Superior. It was started by B.B. King many years ago and he still appears as the headline act each year. A great 3 day festival with usually around 25 acts performing the 3 days. I would love to see a lot of 50's acts even though most their voices have changed a lot. I saw Del Shannon many years ago and his voice was raspy as heck but still a great show. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

BB is OLD. I think the Blues Fest. It is in early August. Here's the link for you. http://www.bayfrontblues.com/ I scanned the site briefly and did not see BB as an act this year. But I did not look real good as it's a big list. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

yes, they are getting up there in age. I was surprised that they still sounded as good as they do. I know that most of them have broken up and gotten back together several times.

I would love to go to a concert like this. I love hearing alot of these singers. Espically Pat Benatar, Loverboy, Blue Oyster Cult and Firehouse. This sounds like a wonderful concert.

I love all types of music as well. Not real big on country, but I can handle some of it. Sunday was mostly country music. We had weekend passes so we went anyway and mostly focussed on my son playing around that day.

I've never been to one. And I've never really heard about any going on. I feel so out of touch with life sometimes. I live less than an hour away from New York and I've only been there less than twenty times in my whole life. I guess that's more than what some people would say. I've always wanted to check out Montreal in Canada. I'm curious if they have music festivals up there. I'm sure they do, I just don't know about them.
