When I was still a little kid, I had a lot of careers in mind First, I want to be an engineer like me dad I also want to be a broadcaster because I always watch news. I also want to be an astronaut (which is really impossible) But now, I'm taking up a course in computer science. Hehehe.

I had a couple of dreams. I wanted to be a teacher for a while. Then I wanted to be a psychologist. I actually wanted to be a minister. That was what I wanted most but a minister I met shot that dream down by telling me that women were not allowed to teach the word of God. Lastly I wanted to be a writer. That is a dream that I am living out.

I just recently published my first poetry book. There is a link from my profile. I am actually living out all of my dreams because I am a mother and a mother plays all these roles.

So true. Good for you that you are very successful in your career. Being a writer and a mother is very hard.

choosing a career when you're young is like choosing which junk food to eat... I remember myself everytime I was asked whatI wanted to become when I grow old, I would always be excited imagining what was the best uniform for me to wear... I would see myself on a laboratory gown or a white hospital uniform, as if I am a doctor or a nurse, and then there is this classic suit, as if I am a lawyer or a corporate executive, or maybe a school uniform like being a teacher... but none of those pictures of myself made me one, cause now, I am actually at home, jobless... no career... but don't get me wrong, I am a mother & that's the hardest job any woman can handle...

I also had many dreams in my young. When I was a kid,I dreamed to be a scientist. When I was in junior high school,my mother fell a bad sick.I was very panic.I thought if I was a doctor ,I would cure many patients include my mother.I had the dream to become a doctor from then on.But the future can't be doped out.I became a technologic worker although I didn't like it.When I remember the past,I always feel losing something.

Oh it's ok to be a technologic worker. Just be happy in your career. It's sad to here that you always feel losing something.

I wanted to do 2 things: A fashion buyer, although I didn't really know there was an actual job to do that, I always said I wanted to grow up and buy clothes for a living. I also wanted to be a geologist. Total opposite end of the scale as far as I'm concerned and I would still love to do with. Incidentally, I am a fashion buyer for a major department store, so I got my dream job!

I want to be a medical doctor. I have this fsacination how the human body works and I want to help people be healed. Partly I was able to fulfill it because I took Physical Therapy in college but after that nomore. I didn't pass the licensure board. Now I am teaching. This is a gift from God which I am very thankful of. I am still fascinated by science of the human body. If I aint gonna be a medical doctor, I plan to be an education doctor. LOL Take care =)

Teaching is indeed a noble profession. Wow! I really want to teach also someday even not as a profession. A human body is really fascinating but i'm not tough enough to endure blood and surgery.

My first dream was to be a veterinarian. I love animals, and I just wanted to make my puppies and kitties better when they were sick. My second dream was to be a teacher because I always admired my teachers. I then wanted to be a constitutional lawyer. Now, I have finally settled on being a doctor. I am so glad I found my way, but I still respect all of the dreams I had growing up.

Your reply is the exact opposite of the reply above. She wanted to become a doctor but became a teacher. You wanted to become a teacher but become a doctor. Hehehe. When I was young, I did not dream to become a nurse or a doctor or any profession related to it because i cannot endure blood and dissecting.

My first dream was to dance. But then I blew out my knees and grew body parts that dancers don't have. Then I wanted to be an attorney, but only one kind. I wanted to be a Constitutional Law Attorney. I wanted to teach and defend the Constitution of the United States. My dream was to some day argue in front of the US Supreme Court. But then I figured out that I would probably have to be poor most of my life and life stepped in with kids and everything.

I also want to become a lawyer when I was young. But my father said lawyers don't have a life because they always read. Haha. But I still want to pursue it after I graduate my computer science degree which is really not connected. hehehe.
