My cousins son is getting married and they knew we wouldn't be able to attend.Texas to Gettysburg Pa.They sent us wedding invitations anyway.I'm glad now we don't feel excluded.I know it cost extra too.She is good about coming up with ideas. We grew up next door to each other so we're close.Instead of getting mad or asking for money she thought that sending a card with a wedding prayer would be different.I chose a Lakota Sioux prayer.I am sending some cash anyway they are donating any they get to the USO.I'm also including in this card a couple of pictures of him when he was a young boy!!

That was really nice of them. I know I'm the family member that doesn't get to go to things because of cost or distance or childcare and I know everyone alreay knows that, but it sure would be nice to get an invite anyway. I recently had a cousin get married down in Lancaster, Pa. Everyone was there and I didn't even know about it until the week before.

I'm sorry to hear about that. I mean I can understand your family not wanting you to feel bad if you couldn't afford to go to a wedding, but they can't find anyway for you to travel with them, or at least let you feel like part of the family and include you in planning? That's just kind of lopsided to me...sorry.... :\
