Long story short. THe kid got hit in the head by accident with a baseball and suffered a serious injury. So big old mom and dad think they need to sue the company that makes the baseball bat because they should have known that the bats were dangerous. The parents should have known that baseball is not always a safe sport to play. Kids have accidents and get injuries, it just comes with the sport. Now is the bat really the one at fault here? No. Mommy and Daddy are just trying to work the system so they can get a payoff. Well congratulations on being arrogant and self centered and good luck with that lawsuit thingy.

Wow, people will try and sue you for just about any reason at all. With any sport comes injury I think anyone with some common sense would know that. People will do just about anything to try and make a buck. It's the world we live in. And if things weren't so expensive these days there might not be as much scammers in this world.

That's pretty dumb...it's like sueing the makers of a football b/c your kid got a broken leg playing football. Most sports are somewhat dangerous...some more than others. You take a chance when you play them, you can use protective gear but that doesn't guarentee that you won't get hurt. Sounds to me like these parents are just looking for a quick buck. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

The company that makes the bat is certainly not at fault, since all parents and coahces know that you wear a helmet while playing softball or baseball. If the child was on a team, then the parents signed a waiver stating that if the child is hurt they cannot sue the team or the league. It is all i nthe fine print you play at your own risk, however if the coach let the child stand at the plate and not have him in proper gear then maybe they can deal with the coach, however the maker of the bat is not at fault. let's clarify one thing, was the child hit with a BALL or a BAT? if the child was hit with a ball that is a whole different story if he was not even playing the game, I think more details are needed to get a complete view of this story.

wow thats just sad that they would stoop to that level. i can't see them actually having a case though because he should have been wearing a helmet. did he get hit with the bat or the ball? either way he should have been protected.
