Hi there! I am the eldest and as a girl, I think its tough. Sometimes I even wish I were a boy bec I believe I can do so much if I am a boy. But I respect what I am now. So if you ask me what I like, its a baby boy. Its so nice to have an older bro that can look after you and your sibs. But they said that girls mature faster than boys, so Im also torn between having a boy or girl as the eldest. My mama always say she's happy that Im a girl bec. I understand her and she can trust me with big responsibilities. What im trying to tell you is that you should just accept what God will give you as your first born. If you'll nourish & nurture him/her properly, he/she will turn out the way you want him/her to be.

I have 2 little boys and I can't imagine my life without them. I really wanted a girl when I first got pregnant, but boys are so much fun. They are so energetic and full of life. And they like to get dirty. We just have so much fun together that now I don't think I would know what to do with a girl.

I wasn't blessed with any kids but if i could of had one i would of wanted a girl. But ya know as long as the child was healthy it really wouldn't have mattered.

Tripta, the short answer to your discussion is - We always wish to have those things, which we do not have. If someone has got boys only, he/she would wish for girls and vice versa. I think, the ideal situation would be one baby boy and one baby girl. Bringing up a boy and girl would be a complete and a balanced experience in itself. How many kids do you have? or you do not have any kid, it was just a passing thought?

We don't have the choice with regards to our children's gender.. science have not proven anything about this. I was blessed with a son and a daughter but whatever the gender is, it is still God's gift to us.
