What's the craziest thing you've ever seen for sale in a catalog?

Recently, I saw a mosquito netting jacket in a catalog. At first I thought it was crazy. But, later I realized how useful such an item could be. We have lots of mosquitos in our area, especially during the summer. I could put one of those mosquitto netting jackets on and the bugs wouldn't bother me. When I told my spouse about it, he definitely acted interested. Sometimes he likes working outside, too. And, I could put one on my little kid during the summer time when we go to the park and she wouldn't come home with those hideous and painful mosquito bites. Maybe everyone should buy one! LOL! So what's the craziest (or most inventive) item you've ever seen in a catalog? Did you buy it, anyway?

Do you remember those necklaces when you were a kid made out of sweet tarts. Well I received this novelty catalog a few weeks ago. I was stunned when I saw this. So much so I called my husband in to see it. It was a bikini made out of those candies. Mixed in with the t-shirts with the funny saying. And the novelty lawn gnomes. I don't know if anyone would really buy one of those. Anyway wouldn't it melt? lol

wow! I love the idea... you know, we could quickly hand sew one using the nylon screening you purchase by the foot at hardware stores. or maybe even using fine tulle from the fabric store. it would be easy enough to sew - considering all the holes that are already there as guidelines, lol. I am not sure, though, how good a fashion statement it would make. The craziest thing I have seen recently was an automatic bottom cleaner for using the commode.

I think you're right. It would not be so hard to sew. And it would be useful. If a person had to be outside during mosquito season, it would be a life saver! And a unique gift, too. Thanks for your comments.

A few years ago when Marlboro did their UPC catolg they actually had a Jet Fighter for sale with thier UPC codes saved. I think it was an F-15 or something along those lines. I forget how many UPCs or if anyone actually got it. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I saw a catalouge for exercise equipment before, I though it was crazy how many diffrent machines they had and how many parts of the body the could be used for.

The strangest thing I've seen in a catalog was a easy- intsallable stripper pole. It wasn't so much the pole itself, but the catalog it was in that surprised me. I don't know the exact title, but the catalog was full of rather conservative clothing and home decor for middle-aged women. xD

I cant really say I have seen anything too weird in a catalog, but a mosquito netting jacket does both sound strange, but at the same time it sounds very useful, and I think everyone should own one.
