I have, and it has been discovered about 3-4 years ago, I think. I am having hard times with my sleeping, and lifting objects (e.g. baggages), and there's also one thing that I am afraid of: my future career. It has been a rumor that a nurse shouldn't have major diseases like mine, and I'm a student nurse. :(

Hey, I have it too. And I had to wear a corset for 4 and a half years day and night. Now I just have to wear it at night. I don't have any problems with anything actually, I think that's because it was discovered when I was 10. I'm sorry to hear that your scoliosis might stand in the way of your future career! I don't think it's very fair if you couldn't be a nurse just because of your scoliosis...

yeah, I think so too! anyway, does that mean that you're just 14? รถ how does it feel to have a corset? I don't wear one, instead they have given me a set of exercises to prevent further damage to my vertebrae, {but I can't seem to manage doing those XC}

No no, I'm 16. I've been wearing my corset just by night for 1 year or so now. It doesn't really feel good. :p At first it was terrible, I had trouble breathing, it hurt, etc. Over the years I got used to it, but it was still annoying because I couldn't wear all the clothes that I wanted. How come you can't manage doing those xc?

oohhh..I see. I have seen the people wearing those.. Does that improve your spine? anyway, I can't manage to do those because i'm too lazy..most of the time, i'm also not in the mood...so its my fault too..:(

Hi, my 25 year old sister discoverd she had scoliosis when she was still a young teen. She had loads of operations and was in hospital most of her school life. Everthing has been sorted now but she escapes the problem with a huge scar from her neck down to the bottom of her back. However she has been very successful in lfe, she managed to get a tutor to visit in hospital, she passed all of her GCSE's and even went onto University. She has now got letters behind her name, which shows how much of a sucess she has been, and now works as a security night gard with a large company. She claims that life gets easier as she moves on in life. However she does suffer from back pains quite often if she does too much work.
