Have you heard about the grapefruit diet? I've always wondered how eating grapefruit will promote weight loss. I started eating this fruit because I thought it would help me lose weight, but eventually I learned to appreciate its taste and juiciness after a hearty meal. So even though the grapefruit diet is just a fad, I continue eating it. However, wouldn't it be great of it were true that grapefruits have zero calories or negative calories? I'm not sure how negative calories work..anyway, just something I'd like to share with you all!

I have heard of this diet. And have even tried it. One of the reasons grapefruit works is because it boosts metabolism and its natural fiberousness fills you up. A word of caution though other than previously stated about reacting with medications, it has also been linked to cancer. Grape fruit diet provides only 800 calories a day.A single grapefruit contain only 70 calories while 150ml juice contain only 45 calories.It is a fat free diet Grape fruits have other benefits.It is a excellent source of vitamin C.So it helps to prevent bleeding from gums.If one can eat 2 grape fruits twice a day for 15 days then it helps to stop bleeding from gum. Disadvantage of grape fruits it reacts with medicine so consult medical practitioner before taking grape fruit diet.
