There is a quote that says: "Sticks and stones may break my bone but WORDS will break my heart." As a teacher I am very careful in speaking about the students I teach whenever I have a parents meeting. The words I say about the performance could either make or break their future eventhough they are so young. As a teacher I am considered as the second parent of these young generation. They look up to me. They make me as a role model. If I say bad things they follow. 'Monkey sees, monkey do' are children. What about you? As what you are now, are your words powerful? Please share. =)

Hi leateagee! yes words are very powerful. I've heard the quote but it was a little different 'sticks and stones may break my bones but NAMES will never hurt me' the quote was for someone being bullied or namecalled, I like your quote because that's what you'd say to someone to stop them from hurting other people! I think words can inspire people to do beautiful things or horrible things.there are some words which you cannot 'take back' like 'thief' or 'liar' you can apologize but once it is out there its hard to take it back.I like strong words like 'adamantine' which means completely immovable or too hard to cut, pierce or break, and silly words like 'hoojamaflip' when you want something but cant think of the word like' pass me the ..hoojamaflip '
