who use satilite internet?

I just asking since I'm thinking of getting that for my Internet connection since you can't get nothing else in my area, and I was going to use it also for gaming I'm asking those it lag while playing games with your follow peers I mean : companies like hughsnet and costinet.

i think that satelite internet cannot be used for gaming, it can be only used for download some files or something else from internet at a record high speed, you can download anything what in specific moment or time is send by that satelite or you can pay for some provider so you can chouse what to download from normal internet speed and then quickly download it from satelite

ok heres the dealio. you need to first cough up around 600$ for the satellite equipment to hook up the satellite to the internet then it runs around 100$ a month for sevice depending on what you want then the downloads are fast but its the uploads that lag real bad or vice versa. if you have a cell tower in your area then i would suggest get a sprint pc card for your puter, then buy a usb cable long enough to stick in the window. i have played world warcraft on mine and it only lags every now and again. plus it only costs me less than 50$ a month and i can take it with me
