I have known a few people in my past who have had thyroid problems but I never did know exactly what it is, I think also I hear people say that being over weight is because they have a thyroid problem, not sure if that is right though...I hope you get the info you require..

I do Have a Hypo Disorder but it is caused by Radioactive removal in 21 sept 1997 Rad level ingested was 9.2. Now I have Hypo and can not seem to get this under control. at 100mg of synthroid tests showed a 6.14 level so there was an increase to 112mg and 2 mths later test rtesults show an increase to 7.4 levels. I know that the T4 is handled with the Synthroid but what about the T3. Should I ask my doctor to control the T3 as well on this issue. They have now increased my level of synthorid to 125mg. If my need information for research I would be glad to help and to share my medical charts. Terri 336-782-5261cell
