The Bartimaeus trilogy

Does anyone know if the second and third books in this trilogy are worth a read ? The first one was very engrossing and had pretty much the same interest value as the Harry Potter books..

I have never heard of them, but will have to check them out. My daughter loves Harry Potter as do I, so this looks very interesting. Thank you.
