The most I've lost was about 6 years ago. I lost 62 lbs March 2002. However, please, to anyone reading do not do what I did. I only ate biscuits. A maximum of 3 per day and nothing else. All water. Then I hike/jog for 10 kms (for about 10 days during that month) and engaged into weightlifting. I was impressed on the weight loss but not with my health. I got sick afterwards and gained it back in 4 years time. Right now, I've lost 32 lbs last april. It was a better achievement as I am on a real diet and just plain aerobics. I find my body to be leaner compared to gaining muscles with weightlifting. It's all good.

Congrats on the weight loss. I know how sometimes my weight will make me crazy, and I wanna do anything to get it off. I have heard all kinds of stories how extream diets can slow your metabolism and make you lose muscle. I know when I lose weigh the right way it makes you feel better ( your body and mind) For me its one day at a time .I have lost a great deal over the last few years and have some back too. Battle is on again . If i did it once I can do it again !! Keep up the good work and be safe !

Thank you for the reminder, I appreciate it. I still tend to overdo it though. But I'm more in control now than before. ^_^ Take care!

The most I have lost is 65 pounds and it was the happiest moment in my life because I am overweight so I was pretty happy with myself. It takes a lot of healthy eating and excersizing.

The most that I have lost is 7 pounds in 2 weeks as I had prom coming up and my dress no longer fit and I didn't fancy paying another £100 for a new dress. I tend to not crash diet otherwise. I was on a low carb diet with lots of water as I tend to eat too many carbs, especially bread.

Yeah, but I don't like to do it too often, because in the long term it will just lead to more weight gain and it is bad for your health if you do it for too long.

That reminds me when I had prom a few years back and had to lose 10 lbs in 2 weeks . I just ate fruit and one light meal a day , with lots of water .Low carb eating seems to help.

I started Atkins about 3 months ago, I am 5"9 and started at 167. The first 2 weeks I lost 15 pounds, I think this was mostly water weight then its supposed to slow dow after you lose the "introduction" weight. I am now at around 134 in 3 months so not bad but its hard not to eat carbs!

I had lost 30 pounds with the diet pill, Adipex. It decreased my appetite && increased my enery level. BUT!!! It is a temporary fix!! As soon as I stopped I gained 20 of it back. I've recently lost 40 pounds in 2 1/2 months. I didn't go on a "diet", I decided to live a healthier life style. I drank nothing but water ,skim milk, && half a glass of juice. I ate lots of fruits && veggies, and the only meat I ate was chicken. I didn't cut out breads, like most people do. I switched to wheat bread && pastas. As for exercise I started out slow(example: 15 minute brisk walk, 25 crunches, etc). I hope this helps. PS. You could also try keeping a food journal.

Hi There, I lost a whole lot of weight about a year and a half ago. The most I lost in a month was about 40 pounds. I was losing about 10 pounds a week. What I did was eat cereal for breakfast, fruit for lunch and a tv dinner for supper. I also ran a lot and I am now doing marathons and have lost about 100 pounds in total. It all gets back to the very simple equation that you have to have a greater output than input. cheers,

40 lbs in a month that is awesome. That sounds like the kinda diet I am on now ;) It does feel real good when you get things back and order and do things you always wanted to do .

I lost 15 pounds in one month once, but I wasn't on any special diet. I was spending the summer in Israel performing with my orchestra and doing concert tours. It was a lot of running around, rehearsing, and performing in 120 degree weather. It was an insane physical work out every day, and the heat didn't help either! But hey, I lost fifteen pounds without even trying, so I'm not going to complain. Besides, I had a great experience that summer.

The most amount of weight i have lost was about 2-3 kilos. And that was when we went trekking for 2 hours on a 7-kilometer stretch of mountainous lands. After that, i gained my weight again. I think regular exercise would help out and lessen the sweets we eat.

Yeah cutting out and stepping it up has helped me the month of May . I try to stay away from all the sugar filled foods . I'm starting to like fruit again and that has been a huge help /treat.

About two years ago I lost 60lbs. It look a year, I bet the most I lost in one month was 15lbs. I didn't do a real diet, I just cut out all the wasteful fat. Starting with breakfast for the first month, then lunch, and then dinner. I ate pasta! All the time. If you research and think about it, you can make almost any meal low fat. I've kept my weight off, maybe gaining 10lbs back, but I'm not for sure. I still fit into the same cloths and my measurements are still the same so I'm sure it only been muscle that I gained. I didn't use diet pills or really exercise. It can be a pain at times, but if you think about whats healthy for you, it doesn't matter. I do eat some fatty stuff but only once every couple weeks. Something that can always be a wonderful snack is fat free jello!

I don't think I should reply here but I will do it anyway... lol I don't watch my weight for about 10 years now. back then I lost some 60 pounds in 3 months. It just goes up and down and I know it. always related with the kind of life I am living. If I have the time to walk a lot and play some sport every week it comes down. if life doesn't allow me the time to do it it goes up. diet is a word I never added to my dictionary. already have too many things to worry about. I don't think I would event keep up to one, nor the eating schedules.

nah , dont worry it is okay that you posted here . Weight does go up and down I understand that. sometimes it is the least of our worries with all that is going on around us with life . I think it is all about feeling comfy in our own skin .
