We were at 4-H last week and the 4-H director was going over the contest information for next weeks contest. Kids were texting and not even paying attention to her. I have seen them do this in other situations also. In my opinion it is very rude.

Not just teenagers, I have seen so many people keep texting when someone is talking to them. This have happenned even when doing one to one talks. I have asked them a bit sharply to stop that and listen to what I am telling. Most of the times, I have asked them to finish off that and then I wait till every one puts their phone off. That particular action is very irritating.

i had this experience where teenagers attentions were caught due to so much texting. they were so embarrass coz it happened during the mass and it was the priest himself who called their attention. they were even asked by the priest what was he just said regarding the homily. tsk2 poor teenagers but i think they deserve it coz they never really respect any important locations like churches.

AH I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN! Its so disrespectful and rude. I've seen it happen plenty of times, almost everyday. And they are worse when they are with their parents. For example, i saw this mother talking to her son when his little cell phone beeps. He keeps starring at her as she speaks as he opens his phone and then drops his vision to look and red, followed by lightning speed texting. She continues talking and he texting, muttering noises every now and then like "hmm.......mmmhhhhh....yeah". Whn he finishes and closes his pone he goes: "wait, what happened" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I WOULD BE SO ANGRY. And aggravated.
