Best Time To Choose The Best Response?

So I finally got up enough nerve to post a discussion. Now I've got a problem. I've gotta choose a best response. Please help me out here. When is the best time to choose the best response? First day? Second day? Later? What is the criteria for choosing the best response? Those of you who are way more experienced here at MyLot could really help me out here.

Sounds rough. Me, I have ever so many discussions up and running that I really don't have the time to sift through every single one of them let alone decide which will be the awarded. I'd be a better person if I did, trust me.
But, when I do get the time and the urge to hand out that award, I do it whenever I read my old discussions...and award the response that seems to stick out on my screen. It has to be one that grabbed my attention one way or another...either written from the heart, added something to my life, gave me some really good information or made my eyes mist.

Personally over all, I think there is never a real time that is Best when choosing a Best Response. I think often it just depends on what type of responses you are getting back on a discussion that you have started, and if someone has posted back with something you feel worthy of it as well. There are discussions I will choose a Best Response within a couple of days, and then there are a lot of discussions I still need to give ones as well.

I never thought I'd get a response to a 3yr old discussion, Krause. Looking back on it shows me how naive I was as a myLot member back then. Thanks for your response here.
I now wait a bit before choosing best response. Sometimes it is difficult to choose. I've still got at least one unresolved discussion that I'm finding it difficult.
Now after the three years I wait a little longer to award BR.

I usually wait as long as people are posting responses. If there aren't anymore new responses for a couple of days, then I choose a best response.

i cant help you out har har har because i have a problem too about that. not on when to choose but on who to choose. sometimes i will have a headache because all of them have good responses and some of them gave real cool tips. but the best time is to let it sit there for more than a month. some member here are not logging daily so give them a chance to see your discussion. welcome to mylot yoyo, have a greta time earning and posting

Good question. I've noticed that some people give out best response the same day, even if there has been only one response given. I haven't started that many discussions myself, but I think waiting at least until there are more than 4 responses makes sense. A few days, maybe?

Just as the introductions mylot provided we can see that the recommended time is around a week.To my opinion,I think it really the best time.
