There are so many things to put on chicken. I sometimes use Barbeque Sauce, or Italian Dressing on mine, and I recently discovered a Southwestern sauce I like. But now there are so many seasonings in the shaker bottles too. I got the Mesquite flavored seasoning and also a Garlic Herb one. What kinds do you like?

Thanks for your comment! A couple days ago I was starving and I went to the store and bought some chicken tenders. I went down the seasoning aisle but could not remember ANYTHING that any of you had mentioned that I could buy for something different. Then I spotted a shaker bottle of McCormick's called Roasted Garlic and Bell Pepper blend. It had a picture on the front of a creamy chicken dish that looked really good. I turned it over and the recipe was on the back of the bottle. It was called Creamy Italian Chicken. I cubed the chicken and coated it in the seasoning and flour and browned it oil in a skillet, then added heavy cream and more seasoning and it was SOOOOOOO GOOOOOOOD!!!! I ate almost the whole pan of it myself!

That does sound good! lol I am bad when I am cooking as I eat it to taste whilst cooking and then find myself dipping into it every few minutes!! lol I'm surprised I ever have any left to serve!

I'm pretty boring and usually stick to a savory marinade. I take handfuls of fresh herbs, chop them very finely, and mix them with olive oil and cayenne pepper. I marinate the chicken anywhere from a couple of hours to overnight, and I really love the savory goodness and simplicity of it. Occasionally, I'll do a lemon pepper or teriyaki marinade, but the herbs are the winner for me. :)

Mmmm...That sounds good too! When I posted this question I thought there were already so many choices in the bottles, so I was just wondering what others liked. Now I'm learning even more ways to make it. I could probably eat chicken a different way every day of the year! Lol. Thanks so much for your comment.

Hello. My name is lonewolfnan and I am a chickenaholic.I love chicken!!It is my favorite meat and literally could eat it 5 days in a week.Usually I have it as shake-and-bake plus when I wanted a little extra would use Lowry's seasoning salt on it.I also like having it rinsed in milk and being rolled in Corn Flakes and baked for 40 minutes at 375 degrees.Fried chicken ,bbq chicken,roasted,carmelized........I just love chicken!I am glad to share that with my fellow C A members.

When you mentioned Corn Flakes, you reminded me of something else. There used to be a restaurant that served the BEST chicken strips and then they quit. I asked them what happened because I LOVED them. They said the would coat them in honey, then with crumbled Captain Crunch Cereal and then fry them. But, they said that the Captain Crunch Cereal had changed and was no longer sticking to the chicken. What a dissappointment. I tried it at home anyway. And yes, most of the cereal coating fell off, but I did get a little taste of the good stuff I remembered, so I was happy. And yes, I use Lowry's seasoning sometimes too, or "Season All". I could eat chicken almost everyday too...well, I'd have to fit Pizza in there somewhere too. Lol.

I make two sauces for chicken that my family just loves! I use apricot preserves and add a little soy sauce and honey. I heat it on a medium heat and pour it over cooked chicken. It is wonderful! Another sauce I make calls for raspberry jam and a little vanilla coffee creamer. It makes a wonderful sauce. You can use sugarless jams and low fat creamer if you are watching your waistline. They are also very good on fish.

I also use plain yogurt. Season the yogurt with cajun seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, whatever you like. Coat the chicken with the yogurt mixture and cook the coated chicken in the oven. The yogurt helps to keep the juice in and it tastes great!
