Do you make your own shrimp cocktail from scratch or store bought?

If I serve shrimp cocktail at our get-together, I usually buy the ready to serve ones from the grocery store. Though I have tasted some really delicious shrimp cocktails served at some pricey restaurants and hands down, they are much better! So, I wonder if anyone has tried making their own shrimp cocktail from scratch using fresh shrimps/prawns. Do you have any recipes you want to share? Thank you.

We do it really simple ketchup add horseradish sauce and lemon juice. That's the way my family did it since I was a kid and just stuck with thur out my life. It's tasty and you can vary it to make it hotter if you like.

I saw one recipe online and it looks easy to make. I may have to try it one of these days if I can find really good and affordable shrimps/prawns. Thanks for responding.

We serves some boiled shrimp to a friend and she was saying "We need cocktail sauce, you don't have any cocktail sauce." The roomie and I told her you don't have to buy it and showed her how to make it. Like @tdemex except we don't put lemon juice in it. Then she went home. Her mom lives out in the middle of nowhere. Her mom suddenly realized she didn't have any cocktail sauce and so our friend made it for her.
