I never knew what this fish was. Well, my fiance brought home a five gallon bucket and put the kids to work. My girls are usually very girly when it comes to stuff like this...but look at them, they are totally into it!!!

Yeah, we live north of Detroit. This is our second catch this year. And my hubby says he's going out again in about a week. He had to give them away to get them cleaned in time. We've got about 11 bags already in the freezer and about 5 or 6 to go. Those girls are staying busy!!

hands in the bucket - They are gutting them here
I didn't know you liked it? I always thought you talked about it being nasty...or was that just the cleaning it part?? Didn't granpa Curly used to go Smelt Dippin?? Here's another pic of the girls. I knew you'd like the avatar. That was at KC's cousin's wedding reception. The whole family knows now:)

Deep fried crispy they are good. That used to be too much of a hassle. Now I have a deep frier. Life is what you make it, I keep trying to make it good. lol

KC's cooking some up that way right now. I guess he made a bunch up Saturday night after the yard sale. But I was so out of it I only tasted a little one and gave the rest to Allen. I think it was good, but really don't remember.
